• Scored 50 points (20-30 FG), the most by any NCAA player in any division this season and third-most in Big Ten history, and grabbed 16 rebounds in the Wolverines’ four-point loss at No. 17/16 Ohio State on Jan. 21
• Registered the most points ever by a Michigan player, topping both the women’s record (45 by Diane Dietz vs. Illinois on Feb. 27, 1982) and later the men’s record (48 by Cazzie Russell vs. Northwestern on March 5. 1966, and Rudy Tomjanovich vs. Indiana on Jan. 7, 1969)
• Became the first NCAA Division I women’s basketball player with a 50-point/15-rebound game since Jan. 3, 2003 (South Carolina’s Jocelyn Penn vs. Stetson)
• Her 20 made field goals set a Big Ten record for conference games and were the third-most by any Big Ten player in any game (most since Dec. 21, 1991 – 21 by Minnesota’s Carol Ann Shudlick at Marquette)
• Earns her fourth career Big Ten Player of the Week award and third this season

Mackenzie Holmes, So., F, IND: Recorded her third double-double this season with a game-high 22 points and 10 rebounds in the Hoosiers’ win at No. 21/22 Northwestern on Sunday
Sam Haiby, Jr., G, NEB: Posted her third consecutive double-double with 25 points and a career high-tying 12 rebounds in a Jan. 19 matchup against Minnesota
Fatou Diagne, Sr., C, PUR: Averaged 13.5 ppg. and 11.0 rpg. with a .571 field-goal percentage and two double-doubles last week, including a Jan. 21 win over Wisconsin in which she made the winning free throw with 1.1 seconds left
 
Freshman of the Week
Madison Layden, Purdue
G – Kokomo, Ind. – Northwestern – Major: Pharmacy
• Averaged 12.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game with a .625 field-goal percentage and .583 three-point percentage in a 1-1 week for the Boilermakers
• Tied a school record with six three-pointers (on seven attempts) in a Jan. 18 conference matchup at Iowa, finishing with 19 points and four assists
• Became only the fourth Big Ten freshman in the past six years to have at least six three-pointers and four assists in a single game
• Collects the first Freshman of the Week award of her career
• Last Purdue Freshman of the Week: Karissa McLaughlin (Nov. 13, 2017)
