KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs opened a 31-15 lead over the Buffalo Bills in the third quarter of the AFC Championship Game after a pair of passes to their top pass-catchers.
Patrick Mahomes threw a short pass to Tyreek Hill, who then weaved his way through the defense for a 71-yard gain to the Buffalo 4-yard line. Hill hit a max speed of 20.76 MPH and traveled a total distance of 102.5 yards on the play.
The expected yards after catch on Hill's reception was 10 yards, per NFL Next Gen Stats data. The actual YAC was 65 yards. The 55 yards after catch over expectation is the highest of any reception in the postseason and the fourth highest of any reception this season overall.
