Action began with two sets of three doubles matches at the UTC Tennis Center. Senior Zani Barnard and sophomore Muskan Gupta posted a 6-1 win over Jana Hecking and Annalisa Smith of UAB in the first set of doubles.
The Raiders took two of three in round two, led by Zani Barnard and sophomore Muskan Gupta's second win of the day with a 7-5 win over def. Dominika Hrabalova and Sydney Clarke of UAB. Seniors Lee Barnard and Lidia Burrows closed out doubles play with a tight 7-6 (9-7) win over Adela Wasserbauerova and Jana Hecking.
MTSU was cruising in singles early on, taking the first set in four of six matches. Lee Barnard and Zani Barnard pulled out straight-set wins to round out singles play for the Raiders. Muskan Gupta and Lidia Burrows fought hard in the third-set tiebreakers but fell just short.
The Blue Raiders wrap up the season with 20 wins in singles and six wins in doubles.
