ROSEMONT, Ill. - A pair of Big Ten standouts claimed monthly national honors from the Hockey Commissioners' Association on Thursday, as Minnesota’s Jack LaFontaine was named the Goaltender of the Month and Wisconsin's Linus Weissbach earned Player of the Month honors for November. Additionally, Michigan’s Thomas Bordeleau was recognized as the Rookie of the Month Runner-Up.

Men’s Goaltender of the Month:
Jack LaFontaine, G, Sr., Minnesota (Mississauga, ON)

LaFontaine guided Minnesota to a perfect 4-0-0 record in November while leading the nation in wins (4), save percentage (.961), shutouts (1) and goals-against average (1.00) among NCAA goalies with more than one appearance this year.

The alternate captain picked up his first career shutout in Minnesota's last game against Ohio State on Nov. 24 and has now won six straight for the Gophers. He has started 12-straight games entering the Michigan State series and has allowed two goals or fewer in each of his last nine starts.

Men’s Player of the Month:

Weissbach leads the nation after the first month of college hockey with five goals and 10 points to help the Badgers to a 4-4-0 record. The 2017 Buffalo Sabres draft pick is Wisconsin's current career leader with 27 goals and 83 points. He also owns four multi-point performances in eight contests this season to pace the squad with 21 career multi-point nights.

The speedy winger also recently played in his 100th career collegiate contest on Nov. 20 against Michigan (104 GP). Weissbach owns a game-winning tally, a pair of game-opening goals and a power-play marker this season.

Men’s Rookie of the Month Runner-Up:
Thomas Bordeleau, F, Fr. Michigan (Terrebonne, PQ)

Bordeleau ranks fourth in the nation in points, tallying two goals and adding five assists to help the Wolverines to a 4-2-0 mark in November. Bordeleau has factored into three of Wolverine's game winners, scoring two game-winning goals and assisting on another.
