Naz Hillmon (Jan. 6)

Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 -- Junior Naz Hillmon made the Midseason Top 25 list for the Wooden Award after grabbing a spot on the preseason list. Through seven games this season, Hillmon is second in the Big Ten in scoring (24.6 ppg) and rebounding (9.9 rpg), while shooting 66.0 percent from the floor. Hillmon has scored at least 18 points in all seven games, topping the 20-point mark six times and the 30-point plateau once. Hillmon has tallied five double-doubles on the year to rank 11th nationally and tops in the Big Ten. She has helped Michigan to a 7-0 start to tie the best mark in program history and a No. 15 AP ranking.

Leigha Brown (Jan. 4)

Big Ten Player of the Week -- Junior Leigha Brown was named the Big Ten Player of the Week for the first time in her career as Michigan completed a 2-0 week to begin conference play. On the week, Brown averaged 24.0 points per game on 70.8 percent shooting to go with 2.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. Brown shot a scorching 70 percent (7-for-10) from three-point range while also leading U-M with four steals through two games. Against Wisconsin (Dec. 31), Brown scored a season-best 26 points on 9-for-14 shooting with three boards, three assists and three steals. She followed that up with 22 points on 8-for-10 shooting, including a 4-for-5 mark from distance, with a career-high six assists, one rebound and a steal in U-M's 84-63 win at No. 15 Northwestern on Sunday (Jan. 3). » Big Ten Release

Naz Hillmon (Dec. 7)

Big Ten Honor Roll -- After tallying a pair of double-doubles and helping Michigan to a 2-0 week, junior Naz Hillmon was named to the Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll. In U-M's win at Notre Dame (Dec. 3), Hillmon went for 20 points, 11 rebounds and a career-best three blocks. She followed that up with another double-double performance of 18 points and 10 rebounds against Wright State (Dec. 6), while also dishing out a career-high five dimes. Wooden Award Preseason Top 30 -- Junior Naz Hillmon has found herself on another watch list, this time grabbing a spot on the Wooden Award Preseason Top 30. Through the first two games of her junior campaign, the forward is averaging 30.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game while shooting 73.0 percent from the floor. She tallied a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds in Michigan's season-opening win over Central Michigan (Nov. 25) and followed that up with a career-best 35 points to go with seven boards and three steals against Oakland (Nov. 27). She was named the Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday (Nov. 30) and is fifth nationally in scoring average. Big Ten Player of the Week -- Junior Naz Hillmon was named the Big Ten Player of the Week for the second time in her career after helping Michigan to a 2-0 record to start the 2020-21 season. In Michigan's season-opening win over Central Michigan (Nov. 25), Hillmon recorded a double-double of 26 points on 11-for-13 shooting with 11 rebounds. She followed that performance with a career-high 35 points on 16-for-24 shooting at Oakland (Nov. 27), while also tallying seven boards, three steals and a block. Her 35-point game is tops by a Big Ten player and the third-highest nationally this season. Wade Trophy, Naismith Trophy Watch Lists -- Junior Naz Hillmon was named to the Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Watch List and the WBCA Wade Trophy Watch List. Named after legendary Delta State coach Lily Margaret Wade, the Wade Trophy is awarded annually to the to the best college women's basketball player in the country who not only excels athletically, but serves as a positive role model both on and off the court. The The Naismith Award is presented annually to the most outstanding women's basketball player who achieves tremendous on-court success. Hillmon was named Preseason Big Ten Co-Player of the Year by the conference coaches on Nov. 10 and was named to the preseason All-Big Ten team by both the coaches and media. She ranked in the top five in the Big Ten in scoring (17.4 ppg), rebounding (8.7 rpg) and field-goal percentage (.567) as a sophomore. Katrina McClain Award Watch List -- Junior Naz Hillmon was named to the Katrina McClain Award watch list for the second time in her career after finishing as one of five finalists for the award last season. The award recognizes the top power forward in women's NCAA Division I college basketball, named after the two-time All-American and 1987 National Player of the Year. Hillmon was named the Preseason Big Ten Co-Player of the Year by the conference coaches on Nov. 10 as well as being named the preseason All-Big Ten team by both the coaches and media. Hillmon ranked in the top-five in the Big Ten in scoring (17.4 ppg), rebounding (8.7 rpg) and field-goal percentage (.567) as a sophomore. She led the league and ranked 13th nationally in offensive rebounds per game, grabbing 4.3 per contest. The junior from Cleveland started all 32 games, scoring in double figures 28 times with 11 double-doubles. She topped the 20-point mark 14 times, highlighted by a 30-point, 10-rebound performance against No. 18 Iowa (Feb. 2). She was unanimously named to the All-Big Ten first team by both the coaches and media, while earning WBCA All-America honorable mention. The watch list features 20 power forwards to start the season and will be pared to 10 in February. In March, five finalists will be named before the committee and McClain pick the winner.

Amy Dilk (Nov. 9)

Nancy Lieberman Award Watch List -- Junior Amy Dilk was named to the Nancy Lieberman Award watch list for the first time in her career. The award recognizes the top point guard in women's NCAA Division I college basketball, named after the 1996 Hall of Famer. Dilk is coming off a sophomore campaign where she earned All-Big Ten second-team honors (coaches) after averaging 11.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 34.7 minutes per game. She started all 32 games at the point for U-M, scoring in double figures 21 times and finishing fifth in the league in assists per game. The watch list features 20 point guards to start the season and will be pared to 10 in February.
