"Our work is not possible without the support of partners like the Big Ten stepping up to recognize teachers at the Big Ten Championship Game," said Britton Banowsky Executive Director of the College Football Playoff Foundation. "Teachers have gone through a lot this year and faced tremendous challenges, they deserve to be recognized for their dedication to students this year more than ever.”
The Big Ten worked with Indiana Sports Corp to select five teachers, with the goal of recognizing five different schools in the state of Indiana. Each of the teachers (kindergarten through eighth grade) will be awarded a grant to assist them with educational projects.
“We are proud to continue our partnership with the College Football Playoff Foundation and extend our work across the state of Indiana,” said Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren. “As the son of educators, I know first-hand the impact that great teachers make on the lives of our children and the importance of honoring and supporting educators in their vital work.”
“Indiana Sports Corp is proud to support Indiana teachers throughout the state in partnership with the Big Ten Conference and College Football Playoff Foundation,” said Indiana Sports Corp President Ryan Vaughn. “The selected teachers and schools positively impact the lives of our youth each day and we are thrilled to honor them with this recognition and funding.”
The following five teachers will be recognized on the videoboards at the Big Ten Football Championship Game:
| Teacher | School | Location |
| Julie Beaty | Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired | Indianapolis |
| Aaron Book | Tindley Genesis Academy | Indianapolis |
| Mary Jo Mack | Hoosier Road Elementary School | Fishers |

The Big Ten and CFP Foundation plan to partner for upcoming activations in Chicago and New York City later in the academic year.
