Corey Davis will not be returning to Nashville, as expected. The former fifth overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft has signed with the New York Jets, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The deal will be for three years, worth up to $37.5 million. Davis will get $27 million of that as guaranteed money. That seems fairly reasonable, considering the open market.
Former Titans’ WR Corey Davis reached agreement on a three-year, $37.5 million deal that includes $27 million guaranteed with the New York Jets, per sources.

Davis never lived up to his billing as a top five pick. He was plagued by some bad offenses to start his career, but began to flourish in 2020 with Ryan Tannehill as the full-time starter. In a contract year, Davis put up 984 yards in 14 games, catching five touchdowns. Davis averaged over 15 yards per catch in his final season as a Titan.
Davis was quickly overshadowed in the offense by A.J. Brown, who has looked every part of a No. 1 receiver since the moment he entered the offense. Still, Davis had developed into a really nice second option for Tannehill, and his departure will certainly be felt.
The Titans have also cut Adam Humphries, while losing tight end Jonnu Smith to the Patriots. We can talk about fixing the pass rush until we’re blue in the face, but Jon Robinson will now be tasked with adding multiple pieces back to this receiver room. Expect a veteran signing (or two) and a draft pick at the position, at the very least.
Robinson’s next moves here will be fascinating.
