The Western Oregon University softball program will be holding two camps that will take place in the months of January and February. In January, the Wolves will host a Winter Elite Camp on Jan. 22-23 and then a Hitting/Pitching/Catching Clinic on Feb. 13.
The Winter Elite Camp is open to grades 7-12 and will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the New PE Building both days. Cost is $225 before Jan. 1 or $275 after Jan. 1. Registration deadline is Jan. 17.
The camp is designed to work with advanced softball athletes as camp instructors will work with individuals on all aspects of the game including hitting, defense, pitching, catching and game strategy. The emphasis will be to prepare athletes for advanced-level competition through individual and team development. Campers will also have the opportunity to participate in live scrimmage situations.
The Hitting/Pitching/Catching Clinic is open to grades 3-12 and will run from 9 a.m.-noon for the hitting clinic and then from 1-4 p.m. for the pitching and catching clinic. Both will take place at the New PE Building. Pitchers must provide their own catcher. If you plan to attend one clinic, the cost is $100 before Feb. 1 or $150 after Feb 1. Registration deadline is Feb. 9. If you plan to attend both clinics the cost is $175 before Feb. 1 or $250 after Feb. 1. Registration deadline is the same of Feb. 9.
The camp is designed to help players of all ages improve their skills in the areas of hitting, pitching and catching. Campers will receive instruction from WOU coaches and players while learning more about the position in which they signed up for. This is a chance for all campers to gain valuable knowledge and experience in softball.
