The start of the 2021-2022 school year is right around the corner and now is the time for families to enroll for the first time or re-enroll if needed.
Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools’ enrollment process opens today, Wednesday, July 28th. You can get enrolled for the first time by doing a couple of things:
- Go to Infinite Campus to start the enrollment process.
- Contact your child’s school
- Call Student Services for support at 913-279-2248
Just so you know you will need a few things to enroll:
- Proof of Residency (Utility bill, rental or lease agreement, DL with current address)
- Immunization records (Students must be up-to-date for attendance)
- Birth Certificate
- Physicals for students 9 and younger
Enrollment Fairs
If you run into issues, the district will host Enrollment Fairs for families needing technical or language assistance at the district office, located at 2010 N. 59th Street, Kansas City, Kansas and enter through the “visitors entrance” located on the west side of the building. (Mask are required)
- July 29: 2pm – 6pm
- July 30: 11am – 4pm
- August 2: 2pm -6pm
- August 4: 3pm – 7pm
If you are wondering when school officially start, Wednesday, August 11 is the first day for anyone in:
– Kindergarten through 5th grade (Elementary School)
– 6th grade and
– 9th grade
* NOTE: August 11 is an early release day
All other middle and high school students report to class for their first day on Thursday, August 12 (except for Early Childhood).
August 18 is the first day for Early Childhood full day students. Please note this is an early release day.
August 19 is the first day for Early Childhood part day students.
School Lunches
The state of Kansas has announced that all school meals will be free to all students during the 2021-2022 school year. It is still important for families to realize that funding to the district is based on information KCKPS receives about our families. That is why we ask that you take some time to fill out the following document.
