Atlantic 10 Release

Bronx, N.Y. - To continue equipping and preparing our student-athletes for new Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities, the Atlantic 10 and Fordham Athletics is excited to partner with TeamAltemus to provide even further support and education for our student-athletes, coaches, and staff.

The Atlantic 10 Conference has formed a multi-year strategic partnership with TeamAltemus and Anomaly to ensure that league-wide, the membership is prepared to provide educational support to A-10 student-athletes as they navigate their potential to maximize their NIL opportunities.

TeamAltemus will provide NIL "Protective Education" through a series of conference-wide virtual and in-person one-hour sessions, while also providing individual institutional sessions for each member institution. These protective education sessions include TeamAltemus' due diligence and financial management instruction, in collaboration with Anomaly Sports Group, who specializes in decision-making, contracts and the legal considerations of NIL. This valuable educational service will also translate to student-athletes' lives after graduation, providing a strong foundation for wealth management in life outside of the student-athlete experience.

TeamAltemus, the only firm that brings unbiased expertise in protective education to student-athletes, will consult with all Atlantic 10 Conference athletic departments and student-athletes to ensure the fundamentals of NIL are implemented.

The objective of TeamAltemus "NIL Protective Education" is to educate student-athletes on how to navigate NIL responsibly, minimize distractions from their academic and athletic endeavors, and assist coaches and staff to provide guidance while upholding all standards. TeamAltemus consultants are unbiased experts, who will provide a complete set of NIL resources to help empower student-athletes with knowledge and tools to protect their NIL and the money generated from it, while equally prioritizing branding education. TeamAltemus uses their proprietary DDMC methodology to ensure NIL knowledge begins to build immediately and give the student-athletes a strong foundation and understanding so they are empowered and confident in choosing, pursuing and managing their NIL opportunities.

"Adding TeamAltemus to our NIL programming with INFLCR and Jeremy Darlow is another way Fordham Athletics is leading the way in this new landscape of college athletics," said Ed Kull, Fordham Athletics Director. "We have equipped our student-athletes with resource partners to prepare them for the NIL legislation and now with TeamAltemus, we are educating them in financial literacy to ensure their success not only as a Ram student-athlete but also after they leave Rose Hill."

"This is a transformative time for college athletics and student-athletes, and each institution and each conference will be learning how NIL will impact athletic programs, championship events and student-athletes," stated Atlantic 10 Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade. "TeamAltemus has developed educational resources that we believe will be valuable for our student-athletes and member institutions in navigating this new NIL environment."

Through experiential learning workshops with expert instruction, engaging activities, and dynamic content, TeamAltemus will provide unbiased education to empower and protect our Ram student-athletes. This education, along with TeamAltemus' third-party vetting and ongoing monitoring technology is the most comprehensive offering to protect student-athletes.
