Critics Choice 2022: Complete List of Nominees and Winners - The New York Times

erotoko.blogspot.com

The Critics Choice Awards will be broadcast live from Los Angeles beginning at 7 p.m. EST and we will be following along with updates on the winners.

The 27th Annual Critics Choice Awards ceremony, which gives out honors to both films and TV shows, is set for Sunday night.

“Belfast,” Kenneth Branagh’s coming-of-age drama set in Northern Ireland during the Troubles, and “West Side Story,” the musical rethink from Steven Spielberg, lead the film categories with 11 nominations each. HBO’s “Succession” leads on the TV side with eight nominations.

Sunday’s ceremony comes just two weeks before the Oscars. The shows share eight of nine best-picture nominees — “West Side Story,” “CODA,” “Don’t Look Up,” “Dune,” “King Richard,” “Licorice Pizza,” “Nightmare Alley” and “The Power of the Dog” are included in each — with the sole difference coming down to a single movie: the Haruki Murakami adaptation “Drive My Car” also received an Oscar best-picture nomination, while Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical “Tick, Tick … Boom!” is up for that honor at the Critics Choice ceremony. The acting categories at the Critics Choice Awards also include nominations for Nicolas Cage (“Pig”), Peter Dinklage (“Cyrano”), Lady Gaga (“House of Gucci”) and Alana Haim (“Licorice Pizza”), none of whom were nominated for Oscars.

The Critics Choice Awards will be broadcast live from Los Angeles beginning at 7 p.m. EST. We’ll be following along, and will update this page as winners are announced. Check back here for updates.
