Louisville takes the No. 4 spot
The Cardinals are losing Dana Evans to the WNBA and Elizabeth Balogun to the transfer portal (remember, it’s possible to return after entering the transfer portal, so nothing is set in stone yet). But thus far, they’ve also been big winners in the transfer portal, picking up Syracuse’s Emily Engstler and Vanderbilt’s Chelsie Hall. Evans’ shoes will be impossible to fill with a single player, but Hailey Van Lith will be ready to step into a larger leadership role as she makes the jump from her freshman to sophomore year.

West: ”I am going to bring really good leadership and really good work ethic. I am going to put the time in every day and do everything that I can do to win. I can shoot, I can dribble and pass, I can run the pick and roll and I feel like I can run a team. I think defensively I can go with anyone in the country at my position. I am really confident in myself and in my abilities. The leadership qualities, the work ethic, the intangibles that go along with my game, I feel like there’s a lot that I can bring to this team and this program.”
Q: DID CARLIK JONES COMING BACK OR NOT HAVE ANY KIND OF AN IMPACT ON YOU?
West: ”Honestly, not that much at all. You know coach Mack was honest with me from the jump and that really made it easy for me and it was something that I really appreciated, that he was being so honest with me. He felt like if he doesn’t come back then that opportunity is going to be there for me to play and if he does come back then my opportunity is going to be there to play. He feels like we can really be good playing together if he does come back and if he doesn’t come back then I can really be a big help to the team.”
