Calling all entrepreneurs and the people that support them: The Dallas Mayor’s Task Force on Innovation and Entrepreneurship wants to know what you think the city should be doing to attract, retain, and support startups in Dallas.

The task force is soliciting feedback and ideas from individuals in our community via a Startup Information Survey to accomplish those goals, according to Trey Bowles and Mandy Price, co-chairs of the relatively new group.

So far, Bowles says, “we’re seeing a wide array of respondents including current entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, investors, corporations, educational institutions and students, entrepreneurial supports and mentors or other subject matter experts, to name a few.”

The report goes to the Mayor and City Council on April 30

The group wants to get as many voices, points of input, and constructive recommendations to “ensure we have the most comprehensive offering as possible to include in our report set to go to Mayor Johnson and the City Council on April 30th,” Bowles says.

Time of the essence. The task force wants to close the survey by the end of the week. Go here to take the survey.

Bowles and Price encourage sharing the survey to your innovation networks through social media, email — or even word of mouth.

“Together, we can help make Dallas the best place in the country for entrepreneurs to start, build, and grow their business, Bowles says.
