College football today - Week 6 updates, highlights, biggest moments and more - ESPN

erotoko.blogspot.com

It's Week 6, and it might be the best Saturday of the season yet. There was a complete scoring frenzy in the Red River Rivalry, Ole Miss barely edged out Arkansas 52-51 in another high-scoring affair, and Penn State's loss to Iowa has paved the way for Cincinnati to sneak into the top four. What's left is yet to be determined, but if it's anything like the first half of the day, we can't wait.

Check out all the results, reaction and revelry from throughout the land.

Every Nebraska game ends up a referendum on all things Scott Frost and Cornhuskers -- especially the losses. The Huskers were undeniably exciting and competitive in road losses to unbeaten Oklahoma and Michigan State earlier this season (the loss at Illinois: less exciting), but they still lost, and it was further "proof" that "Frost is not the guy," "Nebraska will never be back," and so on.

For a week, at least, the pressure eases. Or at least, some of it shifts to the opposite sideline. Nebraska is coming off of a 56-7 destruction of Northwestern and has jumped to 22nd in SP+ and 21st in FPI. We can definitively say the Huskers have a good team, albeit one that still falters in close games (5-15 in one-score finishes under Frost and 2-9 in the last 11). Quarterback Adrian Martinez still takes far too many sacks, but he has risen to eighth in Total QBR, and the bend-don't-break Huskers defense has allowed just 1.1 points per possession, seventh in FBS. Read more from Bill Connelly's Week 6 preview (ESPN+).

Touchdowns of the day

There are no words to describe this touchdown.

Look at this precision!

We'll be watching this on repeat for the rest of the evening. But this is very clearly not the outcome you want when you leap over someone trying to get into the end zone.

It's all fun and games

Just click the the link. You will not regret it.

This trolling is just too good.

Who doesn't enjoy a little pregame dance party?

Showing up to a tailgate in this? Sign us up!

We were dialed in on UMass-UConn all week long.

UMass did end up the eventual victor. And, well, a win is a win. Celebrate however you please.

It was truly a special four quarters of football.

The Minutemen celebrated as if they had won the natty, and we approve.

Scene in the stands & sidelines

A new take on the cheesehead? The cornhead, because corn really is life in Nebraska.

Name a more iconic duo.

play

0:52

Men's basketball coach Bruce Pearl and Cam Newton get the crowd fired up while Auburn takes on Georgia.

Where can we buy one of these?

There seems to be a new way to call a play every single day.

Rivalry beef (or pork, we suppose)

We've been waiting all season long for this. The first East/West BBQ Bowl between Gardner-Webb and Campbell. And with a trophy like this on the line that features a hog, how could you not give it your all.

So yeah, let's get things going already! And maybe this video is a sign of things to come?

And Gardner-Webb has been focused all week long, even preparing with an eating contest.

Let's check in on the mascots ... and stray animals?

Can someone explain this to us?

Apparently a fox somehow got into the Cotton Bowl. But, hey, maybe it just wanted to get real close to the action.

GameDay antics

Yes, it really has been a long time.

And Lee Corso's pick is ...

Lee Corso makes his headgear pick in the Big 12 matchup between No. 6 Oklahoma and No. 21 Texas.

Uniform updates

Are you hyped for the Red River rivalry?

Because we sure are, especially after seeing these uniforms from Oklahoma.

It's all in the details for Ole Miss this weekend.

And Tennessee is going all dark mode.

For more on uniforms, check this out.

Look who showed up

Both governors are in attendance for the OU-Texas game.

As is good ol' Mark Cuban.

More must-see

Boise State upset BYU on the road and this catch was basically the cherry on top.

*Googles "How does someone stop Mailk Willis?"*

Auburn scored a touchdown! And, yes, there is reason to be wowed by this, because it's the first touchdown Georgia has allowed since Sept. 18.

Caleb Williams led OU to a miraculous comeback victory vs. Texas, and, well, the QB situation in Norman doesn't look too great for Spencer Rattler, and he seems to know it with this reaction.

We are losing count of the number of great TDs we have seen today.

Is there a cooler touchdown than this? Dapping up your teammate en route to a TD?

Give us all the views you got.

Bijan Robinson is really just built different.

And he has the approval of none other than Reggie Bush.

Moments like these are what making college football what it is.

Now, who wouldn't want to see their name laid out across an entire field? Tennessee paid tribute to one of its iconic players.

Oooh! You gotta see the change of direction for this TD.

Now this is what we call, "perfect execution."

Matt Corral let this one air out.

Ohio State looks like it's leaving it all on the field today with this early TD.
