With the addition of our new freshmen and returners, we have the depth and the talent to have one of the most successful dual and championship meet seasons in history. We have tremendous upperclassman leaders, who are excited to lead the team and already, in the first few weeks of practice, I can sense their excitement and energy about this season."
ARMY WEST POINT BLACK KNIGHTS
Head Coach: Brandt Nigro (3rd season)
Letterwinners returning/graduated: 14/6
All-League Returnees: None
After finishing third at the 2020 Patriot League Championship and losing five First-Team and Second-Team honorees, including the 2020 Diver of the Meet, Serica Hallstead, Army West Point will rely on their senior leadership and newcomer depth in the 2021-22 season.
Coach Brandt Nigro on the Black Knights: "After a transition year and a COVID year to kick-off my first two season's here on Post, I'm excited to finally get things rolling with our team. We have strong leadership in our captains and senior class. They share the same vision and goals as our staff and are working hard to move the program forward in the right direction. We've welcomed in a big, talented, and deep recruiting class this summer. As a newer staff, this was our first recruiting class and we are proud of the type of people that are joining our program. We know we won't get better as a program unless we truly step out of our comfort zone. I'm excited to see how the team responds. We are looking forward to getting back to the Patriot League Championships this February and ending our season down in Atlanta in March! We have work to do and a long way to go, but I'm excited to see what we can do this year."
BOSTON UNIVERSITY TERRIERS
Head Coach: Bill Smyth (14th season)
Letterwinners returning/graduated: 22/3
All-League Returnees: Second Team – Joanna McNulty (2020)
The return of 22 swimmers and divers from the 2020-21 team, including one All-League performer, will be crucial for the Boston University Terriers to have strong 2021-22 season.
Coach Smyth on the Terriers: "This is going to be a really exciting season for our team. This is the deepest our team has ever been for both men and women. We have quite a few school records that are in trouble this year both individually and in relays. Regardless of our performances, we are really looking forward to having a normal year filled with challenges and rewards based on the work we put into the season as a team."
BUCKNELL BISON
Head Coach: Dan Schinnerer (16th season)
Letterwinners returning/graduated: 24/9
All-League Returnees: First Team- Maddie Hartigan (2019 & 2020); Second Team – Catherine Craig (2020), Sabrina Vumbacco (2020 & Rookie of the Meet 2020)
In his 16th year as head coach for the Bison, Dan Schinnerer, the 2020 Patriot League Swimming Coach of the Year, will rely on First-Team honoree Maddie Hartigan to lead the team. The Bison will return 24 members from their 2020-21 team that finished second at the 2020 Patriot League Championship. With the help of the 2020 Rookie of the Meet Sabrina Vumbacco, and Second-Team honoree Catherine Craig, the Bison have plenty of veteran leadership for the 2021-22 season.
Coach Dan Schinnerer on the Bison: "There are more question marks than normal. I do think we have a talented team with a nice mix of veteran leaders, led by Maddie Hartigan, and talented sophomores and first years. We really need to develop the underclassmen. The better we do that, the better we'll be as a team."
COLGATE RAIDERS
Head Coach: Ed Pretre (3rd season)
Letterwinners returning/graduated: 25/4
All-League Returnees: None
In his third season at the helm of the Colgate program, Head Coach Ed Pretre will be fortunate to return with 25 swimmers and divers from last season. After coaching the Raiders in one Patriot League Championship in 2020, Petre and his team are looking forward to the start of the 2021-22 season.
Coach Ed Pretre on the Raiders: "This year our team is 80 percent freshmen and sophomores, and with this freshmen class, we basically brought in a bunch of freestylers ranging from sprint all the way up to the mile, so we have depth in every event, and that is something that has really been lacking. We definitely have some point scorers, and our relays are going to be a heck of a lot faster. We got great leadership from Katie Hand and Lindsey Criqui, and I think they're just going to spirit everything. But really all of our senior women have just been acting like captains, like they're just really caring and nurturing and it's really helped the freshmen and the sophomores because with COVID, this is kind of is their freshman year in a way. We have our top swimmer from last year, Jordan Hurt, who broke all these records last year, so we're expecting good things from her."

Coach James Dailey on the Leopards: "We are looking forward to our 2021-22 season. It will hopefully be an exciting return to some kind of normalcy. Recruiting went very well. We added 11 men and 18 women as first-years to the 2021-22 rosters. Many of them are fast enough to be on our all-time top 10 lists. Last year's shortened season didn't stop us from adding performances to our all-time top 10 lists, and there is some good motivation heading into the season. Our current sophomores, juniors and seniors are enjoying a return to in-person classes, full class load and full training load. The season should be a good one for us, and we are looking forward to getting it started."
LEHIGH MOUNTAIN HAWKS

The defending Patriot League champions look forward to returning to the pool to begin working toward competing for their 10th straight League title this season.
Coach John Morrison on the Mids: "We were very pleased with our program's growth in and out of the pool in 2020- 2021. During 2020-2021, our team did an outstanding job supporting each other and learning to take advantage of every opportunity. We are looking forward to continued growth as we are hopeful of returning to a more traditional schedule. As we look to a more normal collegiate season, we are excited to support and help our strong 1/c midshipmen lead this young team through the 2021-22 season."
