PHILADELPHIA - Delaney Lappin of women's soccer and Alan Jesudason of men's tennis have been named the Drexel Dragons of the Week for the period from Monday, September 26 through Sunday, October 2.
Lappin scored a pair of goals as Drexel completed a 1-1 week and ended the first half of the conference slate atop the CAA standings. Both of her goals came in the opening half hour of a 2-1 win against Elon through a driving rain on Sunday afternoon. Her seven goals are a career high and the most for a Drexel player since 2016.
Jesudason advanced to the Third Round of the ITA All-American Tournament over the weekend in Tulsa, Okla. He started his run by defeating the tenth-ranked Matthew Che of Notre Dame, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (3). In the Second Round, the sophomore topped Marcus Ferreira of Vanderbilt with identical 6-3 sets to reach the Round of 64.
